Innovations in learning
Become a central qualifications centre

Why become a CQ Centre?

Becoming an approved centre provides you with a portfolio of qualifications specifically designed for those working within the veterinary industry. Our close working relationship with the veterinary profession ensures that our qualifications reflect the needs of practices of all types.

Learners are well positioned to realise their career aspirations as our qualifications are focussed on developing skills and competencies that employers value.

What support is available?

CQ has a dedicated team of educational consultants that will support your centre and give reliable and professional advice. We ensure that all centres are kept up-to-date with the latest tutor and learner support materials and our external assessors will ensure that both centres and learners get the most from the assessment process.

Accreditations & Qualifications and Credit Framework

CQ is approved by the national regulator, Ofqual. Our accredited national qualifications are designed to fit onto the qualifications and credit framework (QCF).

Staff at CQ are members of a number of professional associations both nationally and internationally. These include veterinary, medical, and educational associations.

Our Commitment to Centres

At CQ we work closely with our Centres to support the delivery of training programmes. We focus on quality and are committed to the highest standards of training. We promote good training initiatives and work proactively with our centres to develop these.

Here’s what our Centres had to say:

'We have received consistently rapid responses, clear messages and guidance plus excellent support from all CQ staff. The approval process was transparent and all handbooks are clear with a good prescriptive syllabus'
Janet Litten, Bicton College

'Since moving to CQ, we have found them very approachable and extremely helpful. From a teaching point of view, the syllabus is comprehensive, guiding and gives clear detail as to what is expected, and given the research that CQ have conducted, will produce trained Veterinary Nurses that the profession has indicated it needs'.
John Corsan, Abbeydale Vetlink

'We feel that the Central Qualifications Veterinary Nursing Diploma offers a number of positive features. Everything is geared towards helping the students to feel more at ease as they sit their examinations, which can only benefit the students and, ultimately, the profession'.
Gemma Irwin-Porter, Bridgwater College

'Any concerns for a change in awarding body have been quickly dispelled due to the competency of the CQ staff. We have received lots of valuable information, and any additional information requested has been provided quickly and efficiently'.
Sarah Cottingham, Plumpton College
