Diploma for Veterinary Nursing Assistants (DipVNA)

The Level 2 Diploma for Veterinary Nursing Assistants qualification provides a pathway to veterinary nursing.

This programme supports and prepares learners for a career as a veterinary nursing assistant by giving them the opportunity to gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work safely and competently in a veterinary environment.

As well as studying animal anatomy and physiology, and the principles of animal handling and care, learners will obtain key administrative skills.

Learners can undertake this qualification on a full or part-time basis and clinical placement within a veterinary practice is essential.

The programme allows flexibility for Centres to use different training styles and structures, and provides additional helpful details for learners and facilitators looking for further guidance.

CQ procedures also ensure that quality assurance is robustly monitored and enforced within all qualifications and delivery methods.

Veterinary nursing assistants are able to go on to study for the Level 2 Diploma in Animal Nursing.
