Central Qualifications Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2025

We had a fantastic day at the Central Qualifications Graduation and Awards Ceremony last week, celebrating our students’ achievements and marking the end of the academic year.
The event took place at the prestigious Central Hall, Westminster, on Saturday 31 May, where students gathered with family, friends and CQ team members to receive their diplomas and embark on their veterinary nursing careers.
We were delighted to welcome naturalist and writer, Catherine ‘Cat’ Capon to the day, who presented the students with their ceremonial scrolls. Cat also delivered an inspiring keynote speech, in which she spoke about her environmental campaigning and the importance of advocating for animal welfare.
Jacqui Garrett, CQ director, said: “It is so rewarding to see a new cohort of veterinary nurses receive their diplomas at the CQ Graduation and Awards Ceremony. This event recognises all of their hard work studying and practising their veterinary nursing skills. I am sure they will have excellent careers and make a difference to the lives of so many animals.”
During the ceremony, we also announced the winner of this year's Veterinary Nursing Educator of the Year Award as Matt Badham, a VN educator from Plumpton College.
